Help show Canadians you stand #WithRefugees

Refugees need advocates – here’s how you can be one.

The COVID-19 pandemic and ongoing anti-racism protests have reaffirmed that we need to fight for a safer world that is inclusive of everyone — a global community where we strengthen one another and care for the most vulnerable.

Protecting the vulnerable has been a commitment for UNHCR since its creation in 1950, when we helped refugees after the Second World War. Over the past seven decades, the displacement situation has only grown more tragic, with a record 79.5 million people uprooted from their homes. Our mission to help millions of children, women and men in need a place to call home remains ever more urgent.

As we mark our 70th anniversary in 2020, UNHCR continues to be committed in its efforts to protect and assist refugees. Supporters like you ensure that we can continue our work: you also help make Canada a warm, inviting place for newcomers who enrich and strengthen the country we are proud to call home.

Add your name to the #IAmAnAdvocate pledge and join the UNHCR in sending send a clear message: everyone counts, and there is no place for xenophobia and racism in our world.

We stand #WithRefugees. Please stand with us. Thank you for your ongoing support of UNHCR. Our work would not be possible without you.

P.S. We encourage you to share this pledge with family, friends and colleagues. Please also feel free to tag UNHCR Canada on your social networks with the hashtag #IAmAnAdvocate to show your support.

On our 70th anniversary, will you stand as an advocate with UNHCR and support refugees worldwide?
